The JSL student assistants will assist the Coordinator of Jewish Student Life to provide cultural, religious, spiritual and interfaith opportunities to the Skidmore campus as part of the Office of Religiuos and Spiritual Life. Specific duties for each student employee wil be determined with the JSL Coordinator during the hiring process. The position is a mix of office administration including data management, publicity, research and event programming work. Office work may include scanning and digitally filing documents, monitoring, updating social media presence, creating, distributing and posting flyers. Research will include exploring programs and speakers to enrich JSL on Campus, and current trends on like campuses, in collaboration with the Coordinator of JSL. Event programming will include planning, promotion, and execution of events. There will be opportunities for leadership of events, and to shape the direction of JSL on campus. |
